Since time
immemorial the Traditional Healers of Indian state
Chhattisgarh are practicing Traditional
Allelopathic Knowledge for different purposes.
Through this they enrich medicinal plants with
desired medicinal potential, save endangered
species and promote its growth. Thousands of herbs
are used in different combinations in form of
extracts and leachate to prepare Allelopathic
solutions. Targeted plants are treated at
different durations before collection. Plants are
also treated after collection in order to help
them recover from injuries caused due to
collection of plant parts. Since one decade I am
conducting Agrohomoeopathic experiments. I have
worked on use of Homoeopathic drugs for commercial
cultivation of medicinal and aromatic crops. In
farmer’s fields I have tried successfully these
drugs for plant protection as well as growth
promotion. Both Traditional Allelopathic practices
and Agrohomoeopathy are my favorite fields of
research. Not much work has been done on both
fields around the world. I have documented
Traditional Allelopathic Knowledge in form of
thousands of research articles. It is an integral
part of my scientific report on Type II Diabetes.
I have prepared films and taken photographs of
ways through which this knowledge is practiced.
Traditional Allelopathic Knowledge can play vital
role in commercial cultivation of medicinal crops.
Unfortunately modern agriculture is not aware of
this ancient science.
To
explore the possibilities of using Homoeopathic
drugs to develop desired medicinal properties in
medicinal trees used in Traditional healing with
the help of Traditional Healers on Indian state
Chhattisgarh experiments were
conducted using 40 drugs.
These experiments were done in different locations
from July 2006 to July 2008. The selected drugs
were applied on Buchanania lanzan, Tectona
grandis, Oroxylum indicum, Diospyros melanoxylon,
Mitragyna parviflora, Chloroxylon swietenia,
Cleistanthus collinus, Ficus racemosa, Ficus
religiosa, Ficus rumphii, Ficus virens, Ficus
benghalensis, Azadirachta indica, Ailanthus
excelsa, Pterocarpus marsupium, Terminalia arjuna,
Terminalia alata, Terminalia bellirica, Terminalia
chebula, Gardenia sp., Boswellia serrata, Madhuca
indica, Wrightia tinctoria, Semecarpus anacardium,
Acacia nilotica etc. After different durations
desired plant parts were collected by the
Traditional Healers. They tested its medicinal
properties through traditional methods and
medicinally rich parts were used in Traditional
Healing. Such experiments were done for the first
time. Many Healers suggested the use of
Homoeopathic drugs with Traditional Allelopathic
solutions. Many combinations were tried (See
Table).
