After examine my
broken tooth carefully the Traditional Healers
of Southern Chhattisgarh gave me specific herb
for chewing. After five to ten minutes they
reexamined it and said as root is still alive
hence they have good news for me. They claimed
that they can regenerate new tooth. Dental
regeneration is still like a dream for the
modern researchers. But the meeting I have
described earlier was of my college days when as
second year student I visited to Bastar forest in year
1992. The Healers informed that it is very
complex process and based on many factors it may
take one to two years. These Healers were known
in the region for their expertise in treatment
of Dental troubles. May I meet the patients who
have newly generated teeth or tooth? I asked
humbly to them. The Healers replied simply that
no one is ready to go for this very long
process. Most of the patients stop using herbs
and herbal combinations even in three months.
Why it so? Are herbs used for it are bitter or
having allergic reactions? No, this process
requires much patience-the Healers replied. In
most of the cases they use less internal and
more external medicines. During two week stay
with them I returned back with lot of
information on this aspect. I thought that I
have gained much new knowledge enough to
surprise my friends as well as professors. After
coming back I wrote small Hindi article about the
extra ordinary knowledge of our Healers. But no
one believed on me. My professors as well as
friends made jokes. As result I put this
information aside. Later when I started detailed
surveys many times I met specialist Healers with
similar claims. They enriched my knowledge every
time but still I was hesitating to write much on
this aspect. I wrote introductory article for the first
time in Botanical.com. As result I
received many mails from different corners of
world. Most of them were researchers eager to
get ‘clue’ about technique. They forced me to
write all the details. One of them invited me to
write book chapter on it and publish it with him
as co-author. I refused. From last few years
when I read news about on-going research on
Dental generation in different parts of world
and I got new information from recent surveys
finally I decided to document this valuable
information through Ecoport. As mentioned
earlier the information is vast and requires
much time to write in its original form. The
purpose of presenting this information is to put
the claims of Traditional Healers in published
form so that they will remain pioneer in this
revolutionary research of Dental Regeneration.
Recently I experienced bitter
lesson.
In researcher articles at
Ecoport I have written a lot on medicinal soil
and unique traditional medicinal knowledge about
it. Few weeks back there was news in farm
magazine in the name of an eminent scientist
that he has discovered medicinal properties of
soil collected from the base of Bar
tree. According to the news this soil
is having beneficial effects on not only human
beings but also on other plants. These claims
are already in Ecoport in reference to the
Healers and that eminent scientist has simply
presented it in his name. It is not new in the
field of modern research. I wrote to the editor
with printouts from Ecoport. He agreed to
publish the real knowledge of the Healers with
sharp remarks in coming issue. His editorial
team reminded me that I have also written in
Hindi articles about it by giving reference of
Ecoport. Before publishing claims of the
scientist they searched Google and other search
engines but failed to get my articles as Ecoport
don’t allow search engines to search its
contents. As result the team members published
this news without quoting my work. I am sure
that Ecoport team is working on this important
issue and they know why dissemination of
knowledge is very important particularly the
knowledge related to traditional healing
practices. As Christmas gift I am expecting that
as per promise they will make the Ecoport enough
strong to resist the disturbances caused by
search engines crawlers while searching millions
of links and world community will reach to my
contributions through search engines.
From the Healers of Bastar region I
got long list of herbs used for Dental
regeneration. The list is given in this Interactive Table.
These herbs are used in specific order. All
herbs are used externally alone and in
combination with other herbs. In general they
use it in combination with Haldi powder as base
material. Different combinations are applied
externally on ‘Alive tooth’ along with internal
remedies. During this regeneration process
patients are strictly advised to visit to
Healers twice a day. The patients are not
informed about the herbs and herbal
combinations. All herbs are collected by the
Healers by visiting to nearby forests. For many
herbs they depend on herb vendors. Most of the
herbs collected from surroundings are treated
with specific herbal solutions and with the help
of this Traditional Allelopathic
Knowledge they enrich it with medicinal
properties so that they can get desired effects.
All external applications are not good in taste.
Many applications result in vomiting. In such
cases patients are given internal medicines
before application. The Healers claim that
during this long treatment as extra benefit
patients get other teeth free from troubles.
These applications are beneficial for mouth.
Many combinations used externally are allowed to
swallow as these are considered beneficial for
patient’s general health.
From these
Healers I got information about ten patients
treated by their ancestors through these herbs.
These patients were of different age and
vitality. Most of them were from royal families.
They lost teeth during war. How treatment
started, how medicines were given up to over 365
days with details of each day and also what
happened when their family members saw newly
generated teeth for the first time etc. are
parts of stories I noted from these Healers.
After completion of on-going documentation work on
Type II Diabetes I will write special
series on this aspect. Meanwhile I will add
tables like table 51331 and link it
to this article, time to time.
Keep
reading my research articles for update.

This knowledge
although looks simple but in fact it is very
complex. During early surveys I got information
about simple uses of herbs mostly single herbs but
recent surveys reveled that the expert Healers use
complex formulations for this purpose. I tried to
document these formulations in original form but I
noted that they rarely share complete knowledge.
When I tried many formulations on myself I got
little success. Then I realized that some
important points are missing. I have uploaded
these formulations with details in CGBD database.
Very few Healers are aware of this unique
knowledge and most of them are very old. They are
not aware of the importance of this knowledge for
the human race. The visits and interactions with
them are on.
The
efforts to make CGBD database online are in
progress.
